Vitae (link) I’m moderate on extroversion. In today's workplace, this puts me in the middle regarding this sought-after trait. Introducing myself, meeting different people and being part of a team are OK for me; I'm not perceived as shy. While I do not crave the opportunity to lead meetings or initiate contact with unfamiliar people, I can do it if asked. My personal network is of average size. Generally, though not always, others can read my emotions and know where I stand. I’ll achieve greatest success in jobs -- such as healthcare, legal work, consumer research and quality control -- that offer a mixture of people-contact and solo activity. Objective: To continue work as a Community Technology Advocate
for California (including Baja) as a Cybernetic artist that is
supporting (open source) technology thru CTC's that enable further
collaboration and sharing of educational resources. See: RoadMap | Digital Divide Profile | Art Programs | Resumes: One | Two How do we view "Design for Learning"?We want to help develop real fluency in many important areas of learning, including thinking, math and science. Each of these subjects is outside "natural learning" (such as learning to walk and talk). Quite a bit of time and energy needs to be spent to gain an above threshold fluency. There are interesting similarities to art, music, and sports, each of which also requires quite a bit of time and energy to gain fluency. These arts could be termed "hard fun". Mathematicians and scientists know they are doing art and hard fun as well. "Thinking" is a higher category than "just" math, science, and the arts. It represents a synthesis of intuitive and analytical approaches to understanding the world and dealing with it.
